My guess-and this is just a guess, I'm not a lawyer and have no knowledge on these matters-is that books and songs are handled differently regardless of the medium used to distribute them. You may, though, wish to also protect the sound recording itself. It seems as though if you've already copyrighted the written work (whether that work was published as an ebook or a paper book) then the story itself is copyrighted. Hi Carol, good question!
